The Year Ahead

NatWest

NatWest launch a campaign at the end of each year that outlines “The Year Ahead”, taking information from seven articles that look at the key themes that are shaping customers' agendas. It is generally heavily focused on the economy, large businesses and financial institutions.

Using NatWest’s brand guidelines and identity on social media, I developed four carousels for their 2025 campaign. NatWest have a much greater traction on static posts opposed to animations, GIFs or videos, so we moved forward with type-focused static carousels. The goal was to make the information in heavy, long articles digestible and easy to understand at a glance for the average consumer. We want the audience to click into the long-form articles and direct them to the NatWest website.

These specific articles covered:
Fiscal policy: specifically in a post-crisis world, looks at what governments can do about the UK's debt and US tariffs.
Monetary policy: the US banks are adapting to Trump and a delicate economy for the Bank of England.
Trade: Conflict and crisis have changed free trade supplies, specifically regarding the Russia-Ukraine War, as well as the US and China.
Trump: An America First policy, with large tax cuts, high borrowing and high tariffs, that all seem unrealistic.
